Bigfoot as an everyday thing short story

So Bigfoot. We know him or her as a mythical creature almost described as an ape or gorilla. Possibly even humanoid. We call a mythical creatures or animal who’s existence has not been proven yet, cryptids. Cryptids are interesting, and the most common and known one is Bigfoot. Here is a short story about what it would be like if Bigfoot was an everyday thing.

Dr. Kent sat at his desk perplexed. “Darn it! I forgot my binder. I will never be able to share my reasons with Mr. Mark Small!” Mr. Mark Small was the boss of the local zoo. Bigfoot was in a cage at the zoo. He loved drawing and eating bananas and peaches. The kids loved seeing him play with his favorite red bawl. He tossed it around and smiled. His teeth looked oger like. The kids were sapping pictures when Dr. Kent came barging through without a care about the crowd of interested kids. He ran to the employee of the month to talk to him to meet his boss about Bigfoot being something that cannot be contained in a cage and must be free. “Sir my boss is very aggressive to people who disagree with his opinions.” the employee said with a concerned look on his face. “Oh come on, let me see him.” said Dr. Kent with a very annoyed voice. “Fine he is at a meeting in the capital, I believe he paying for his land” “Thanks.” Dr. Kent ran to his car. He got in and immediately turned on the engine and drove past the speed limit. He stopped at the building and barged through the glass doors. “Hi sir do you have a meeting scheduled today?” said the customer service . “No I want to see Mr Mark Small.” Said Dr. Kent. “Oh i am sorry sir, Mark is at a meeting.” “Ugh customer service sucks.” said Dr. Kent said to loudly. Kent ran to the elevator and went up to level 6 witch is the level where meetings are held. Kent barged in holding a law form saying that Bigfoot is against the law to keep in a cage. Kent talked to his lawyer about this and made him sign a form to declare this as a law. “Sir…..” “Dr. Kent to you.” “Yes, Dr. Kent, Bigfoot is a great attraction at the zoo. He is bringing in the money. And we are keeping him safe from being hunted and as of we know there is only one Bigfoot out there.” Said Mr. Mark Small. “ Well this is a law now and if you don’t follow this you will be arrested.” Kent said. “ Well-” Kent brought out his phone about to call the police. “Wait Dr. Kent How about we hold a debate. The public can vote on what they think is correct.” said Mark. “Fine. I will set it up. A few days passed and the final debate went down. “I think Bigfoot benefits to the community!” “No! Bigfoot should be free he is an animal!” The crowd was fighting. “Ok everyone! The final results are in and Bigfoot should be release into the wild!” Dr. Kent Said with confidence and a wide smile. “Wait Where is Bigfoot?” Said the Mark. “Oh I already let him out. THE END!

Why I wrote this story in the way I did.

I feel like people will always have something to argue about . I have recently been really interested in animals and how they are treated now a days. Most of them are contained. And this is a problem today. I thought why not project this into a story with something that may be fictional. I hope you enjoyed this article!
